My family and other animals part4
With the summer came Peter to tutor Gerald. He is fresh from oxford and he is teaching Gerald and English language. Gerald enjoys with this man because he us kind and when Peter looks upon the garden with Margo, he became a botanically minded. After the class Gerald went to the hill behind the house and he got and owlet back home. He shows this to the family with a certain trepidation. He named it Ulysses. When Ulysses grew older he lost his baby down and developed himself. Ulysses always spent time on his hit varied. Sometimes he would swoop back into the room after only an hour. Since he had proved himself an able fighter, he became fairly friendly towards Roger than before.
On a hot day, the family decided to go for a boat trip. Gerald's list took a lot of time and though to work out, and considerable amount of applied psychology. He planned to buy and equipment so he talked to his mother and then he was going to buy thing that is most necessary. The day before Gerald's birthday, the entire family went to the town to preparing for his birthday. They decided to not invite so many people to the party so that it will not mess up and complicated.
Up on the hills, the sky is getting darker and darker, the cicadas stopped singing, their place being taken by the green tree-frogs. The frogs came up and find an insect to eat as their meal. They looked upon the sky and grabbed those lovely pieces snack by their tough. Gerald looked at them so kindly. He loves to see how the animals live their life.

One hot day at the hill that belongs to the tortoises, Roger and Gerald were concealed behind a bush waiting for a swallow-tail butterfly to return to its patch. In 2 hours they could collected 35 specimens, just only walking about the hillside and picked up them as they wandered about an air of preoccupied determination.
Roger and Gerald squat by the hour in the heather, watching for the tortoise jousting for the lady. When the lady already made her choice, they would follow the happy couple on their honeymoon among the myrtles. Gerald came to know many of the tortoise by sight as he watching their daily life so closely. Gerald wanted the egg so that he can add it to his collection, but he has to wait until she move away.
Gerald explores a crumbling wall that lines the property. Brick-laid and coated in peeling plaster houses an assortment of life. Geckos share space with beetles and glowworms. Gerald's favorite inhabitants of the wall are the scorpions. Gerald admires their black shiny bodies as they hunt and perform mating rituals. One day Gerald finds a mother scorpion with a carpet of tiny babies clinging to her form. Unable to leave her, Gerald carefully captures the scorpion and her brood and takes them home.
Gerald places the scorpion in a matchbox on the mantelpiece then forgets about them during the rambunctious meal. Larry discovers the scorpions when he attempts to light his cigarette. A shrieking melee ensues as Larry shakes the scorpions of his arm and onto the dining table.

During last day of summer, Gerald went to class with match-boxes and test tubes full of specimen.Gerald was so glad that Theodore is his partner because his knowledge seemed inexhaustible and Gerald learned so many new things from him. One day Gerald and Roger went to the the hill behind the villa. They were studying about the affect of insect and animals around them. Gerald was lying under the tree waiting for the swallow-tail butterfly, he discovered a turtle leaving from its underground to bask in the new spring sun.
Gerald captured new 35 specimens. He tried to help a very large female he called Madame Cyclops due to her missing eye. Gerald keep on watching her curiously while Madame Cyclops was dinging a hole. Due to his delight, one her feat in completed, Madame Cyclops laid 9 eggs in her ditch. Then she covered it with the solid to protect her eggs from other big animals. When Madame Cyclops leaves, Gerald went to her ditch and took one egg and add it to his collection.
Larry wrote the letter to all his friends and invited them to stay over at the villa. The villa is not big enough to consist all of the coming arrivals. He explain to his mom that if all the siblings move to stay together in one room so the guests can stay over in the house. Mr. Durrell respond back to his son that the other cannot stay out at night due to the weather and he asked Larry to bring his friends to stay at the hotel but his words seem so meaningless. Larry said that he already told his friends to stay over at the house and he also keep on saying to his mom to move to another villa which is bigger so that it can contains all of the members included the guests. Mom ignored Larry and say firmly to him that she will not move.
The new villa was enormous, a tall square Venetian mansion with faded daffodil-yellow walls, green shatters, and fox-red roof. It stood on a hill overlooking the sea and surrounded by the natural atmosphere.It was spire who found this place and their move with the minimum of fuss and maximum of efficiency.Mother engaged Lugaretzia, the gardener's wife to work for them in the villa. Lugaretzia was so happy and her tears came down due to the Mother's kindness.
The next morning Spiro drove mother, Margo and Rally into the town to buy furniture. Rally thought that the town would be so crowded and boisterous than usual. After that they went to the church and meet Saint Spiridion. Saint Spririon was the patron of the island and the islanders worshipped him.Today is the special day, he will opens the coffin and allow people to kiss the slippered feet of the mummy.
For Gerald, the gardener offered and acre of wonderment for Gerald to explored. Gerald had added bird watching to his report. He compares and contrasts their behavior as a psychologist would human behavior. It became the birds indeed have distinct. Gerald and the gardener help each other to explore this out and this was made Gerald happy about doing this.

My family and other animals Part1
Gerald's family decided to move to the Corfu because there has a better weather than where they were living now and alll the family's members were suffered because the weather. When the family arrives on the island of Corfu.Roger drags Mrs. Durrell off the boat and to the nearest lamppost. Roger will not leaves until he satisfied and rest enought because he is so tried while he was on the boat.
The family settles in well in their small pink villa. The small garden is an oasis for Mrs. Durrell who spends her tending to it when she is not poring over recipes and cooking. Gerald thinks that the garden is very beautiful because for the whole garden it fulfilled with the colors. Gerald befriends with the girls who passing their garden everyday.
After breakfast under a tangerine tree in the garden with his family, Gerald joins Roger at the gate for their daily exploration. Gerald and Roger meet many interesting people but for him there's no man who is he interested in like the Rose-Beetle man. The Rose-Beetle man is the man who can understand about the living species or insects. He answering the question that Gerald and Roger wanted to know that's why he is the interesting person for them.
It is decided Gerald needs a more well-rounded education than his hobby of observing and collecting small creatures. What cannot be decided is what else Gerald should be learning. Larry believes Gerald needs to read more literature while his mother and Margo believe Larry's literature too riddled with sex. Leslie thinks that Gerald needs to learn about shooting, fishing and hunting, and Margo contends that if Gerald does not know how to dance, he will be unable to get a date with a girl. When the subject of Gerald's education arises, it becomes appears the family must be involved in decision making though, no one ever seems to agree.
Gerald and Roger set out in the morning on a quest to climb the hills by sunset. By midday, Gerald and Roger are hot and tired. They come upon a small clear bay with a strip of white sand beach and Gerald decides to cool off. Soon enough, Gerald is hungry and leaves the beach with Roger in search of food. By there Yani shows Gerald a scorpion he caught that morning and placed in a jar of oil.
